Have you ever thought of yourself serving in a military service, such as war? Do you think people serving in the military are brave? If you think so, then a movie named “Unbroken” is based on a true story about an honorable man who was in the air force that survived through World War II.

“Unbroken” started with a little boy running while his brother was riding a bicycle telling him that he believed his little brother could get into the track and field team. When the main character, Louis, grew up he attended the Olympics. Louis then served in the U.S air force in World War II. One day, after the plane crash, he floated on the rubber boat with some other crew members for 47 days. They were then found by the Japanese navy ships and sent to the prisoner-of- war camp. The people at the prisoner-of- war camp were mistreated very badly, but at last, the U.S won the war, so they were then set free. Louis was mistreated badly by the commander at the war camp because the commander was once his opponent in the Olympics. I thought this movie was interesting because it is based on something that actually happened, and the characters they chose were similar to the actual people they portrayed.

“Always have an unbroken heart when watching Unbroken.” This movie really touched me because although the soldiers were mistreated, they didn’t give up. They never yielded. I guess the reason Louis was mistreated very badly by the commander was because Louis beat the commander once, so this time the commander doesn't want to lose to him again.

I would really recommend this movie because it makes you more stronger. The reason I say this is because once you've seen how badly those soldiers were treated, you'll understand that you are actually really lucky and happy. The thing I didn't really like about the movie was that some scenes were really violent, like when the soldiers were hit and smacked. Overall, I think this is a really emotional and touching movie.
